Installation and Care Instructions for Teardrop Flags

by Wency Chen 03 Jan 2025 0 Comments

Teardrop Flags are an affordable and effective way to promote your business. Follow these simple steps to install your flag and keep it in top condition.

Installation

Setting up your Teardrop Flag is quick and easy.

  1. Assemble the Flagpole
Begin by unpacking the poles and assembling them from largest to smallest. Insert one end of the pole into the other, pushing them together until fully connected.

  2. Attach the Teardrop Flag
With the pole assembled, insert the smallest section (top of the pole) into the bottom rod pocket of the flag. Push the pole all the way through the pocket until it reaches the reinforced end. It’s crucial to keep the tip of the pole in the reinforced section to avoid damaging the banner.

  3. Shape the Flag
Gently pull the flag down the pole while simultaneously pushing the pole into the fabric. You’ll notice the top of the pole bending into a teardrop shape. Continue this process until the pole has fully bent and the flag is stretched taut.

  4. Tension the Flag
Follow our Flag Tensioning Guide to secure the flag to the pole.

  5. Install the Flag on the Base
Once the flag is properly tensioned, place the base in its desired position and insert the bottom of the pole into the spindle on the base. Your Teardrop Flag is now set up and ready for use!

Caring for Your Teardrop Flag

Your Teardrop Flag is designed to be durable, but proper care will ensure it stays looking great.

  1. Removing Creases
Your flag will arrive neatly folded, and you may notice some creases. These will naturally smooth out over time with outdoor use. For quicker results, use a steamer to remove the creases, or gently iron the flag with a cloth between the fabric and the iron.

  2. Cleaning the Flag
For light dirt or stains, clean your Teardrop Flag using cold water and a damp cloth. If needed, you can machine wash the flag on a cold, gentle cycle without any detergents or bleach.

  3. Weather Considerations
While the Teardrop Flag is built to withstand outdoor conditions, we recommend bringing it inside during extreme weather, such as high winds, heavy rain, or snow, to prevent potential damage.

By following these simple installation and care tips, your Teardrop Flag will continue to look vibrant and effective for your promotional needs.
